Hive Motion Sensor

The Hive motion sensors are self install only.

The Hive Motion Sensor will detect motion in your home and send a notification to your phone through the app. It is possible to check the app or online dashboard to see if motion has been detected and it is also possible to set schedules using Hive Actions so you only receive notifications at certain times of the day such as when you are not home.

If you are an existing user of Hive and have one or more products already, you will not need any further kit and can set up your Hive Motion Sensor using your existing hub. If this is your first Hive product, you will need to purchase a Hive hub in order to set up your Hive Motion Sensor.

1. Slide up the front of the case and remove the used battery
2. Place a new battery into the motion sensor
3. Now slide the front of the case back down and your motion sensor is ready to use again

1. Slide the front of the case upwards
2. Find the small red button, press and old for around 10 seconds – the red light should go on and off
3. A green light will now flash once
4. After 5 seconds, you will see a flashing amber light which shows the sensor is in pairing mode
5. When the light stop flashing, you are done

In order to enable or disable notifications you need to follow these steps:

1. Tap on the motion sensor you would like to alter
2. Select the ‘Actions’ tab
3. Locate the action in this list that triggers notifications and tap the toggle in the corner to able or disable it
4. If you want to add a notification then tap the ‘+’ to begin
