The latest update to our Wi-Fi ceiling speakers brings Apple’s latest protocol to Lithe Audio, enabling users to group Lithe’s Wi-Fi ceiling speakers as well as other AirPlay 2 enabled speakers together for an immersive Multi-Brand Multi-Room Audio setup.
AirPlay 2 enables users to control all their audiovisual technology from one device. Unlike other casting methods, Apple’s latest release allows for multi-room, multi-brand streaming. In a few simple steps, transform your phone or tablet into your all-in-one entertainment hub.
The exciting addition of AirPlay 2 to our Wi-Fi ceiling speakers will give our customers the ability to have a mix of our Wi-Fi speakers or another brand countertop, sound-bars or TV's connected speakers for a Multi-Brand Multi-Room setup without being locked into one brand's system.

- The update adds HomeKit compatibility allowing users to create Automations and link lighting, heating, security and Audio controlled through their iPhone, iPad or Mac. Pair your music to play with motion sensors, pulse switches or alarm systems

What do I need?
Your iPhone or iPad must have iOS 11.4 or later to stream audio using AirPlay 2. You’ll also need at least one compatible device that can receive AirPlay 2 signals. These include Lithe Audio Wi-Fi speakers, A/V receivers, sound bars, and other devices. As long as all of your devices are connected to the same Wifi network, each should be easily discoverable and ready to pair.

How to pair an Amazon Echo to a Lithe Audio Bluetooth Speaker
In an exciting development for custom installers, Lithe Audio has developed a new driver that will give Control4 users control over their Award-winning Lithe Audio multi-room Wi-Fi Ceiling Speakers.
What hardware will this work on?
This driver will work on the Lithe Audio WiFi Multi Room Ceiling Speakers.
The Lithe app supports browsing of music services. Does the Control4 driver support this?
The driver supports the ability to browse streaming sources (searching not supported currently). Note that it does not support browsing of Spotify (much like how the Lithe app doesn’t support it). As such you will need to use the Spotify app / Spotify Connect to stream content to the speaker.

What hardware will this work on?
This driver will work on the Lithe Audio WiFi Multi Room Ceiling Speakers when connecting to a Fibaro Home Center 2 with firmware 4.460 or greater. Home Center 3 update coming soon.
The Lithe app supports browsing of music services. Does the Fibaro driver support this?
The current version of the driver does not support this. It is being actively developed on and will be included in the next major update of the driver.
What do I need to power your product and link it with our system?
Power the speaker via a plug or a 3amp fuse spur off the mains in the ceiling and it will connnect wirelessly to the Fibaro Home Center 2.
